SYRACUSE—The October monthly meeting of the Knights of Columbus Council 6323 Syracuse was a special occasion as it marked the 50th year since the council was founded in 1971.
It has grown from the initial 33 members starting the council to the present number of 140 members.
In the last 25 years, the council has donated more than $2 million toward area charities and more than 20,000 hours of volunteer work.
At the meeting, they recognized four of the five founding members still with the council. A big thanks of gratitude was given to them for their vision and fortitude in taking this monumental step in forming the Syracuse Council.
