WorkOne At The Library
WorkOne is returning to the library from 3-5 p.m. each Thursday in the Rosalyn Jones Research Room. Stop by to speak with Sara Swiger to receive resume assistance, job leads or help with unemployment.
Join The Friends’ Monthly Meeting
The Friends of the Syracuse Public Library will be hosting their monthly meeting at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 4. These monthly meetings are the perfect way to learn more about how the Friends support the library and its programming. Since the meeting occurs before the library officially opens, knock on the Harrison Street door to be allowed entry.
The Friends will then meet at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 2, before taking a break in January and February.
Open Mic Night Returns
Writers and poets will once again be sharing their original work during the Syracuse Public Library’s open mic night at 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 12. Bring an original work or share a beloved poem or story – just keep presentations within five minutes. The community can also come to simply listen. The night always features a nice variety of pieces. Open mic night will occur in the library’s downstairs meeting room.

Hosting Geocaching International Film Festival Matinee
After a break in 2020, the Geocaching International Film Festival is back. The Syracuse Public Library will be holding a matinee of this year’s films at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 13, in the downstairs meeting room.
Geocachers and those interested in the sport of using high-tech satellites to find Tupperware containers hidden in the woods are invited to attend. The films come from across the globe and feature scenic locales and plenty of laughs.
G.I.F.F. is a great opportunity to meet and share caching tales with fellow geocachers.
