INDIANAPOLIS – The soccer postseason awards rush is in full effect, and with it, another accolade for Warsaw midfielder Corissa Koontz.
The Tiger senior was named First Team All-District by the Indiana Soccer Coaches Association for District 2. Koontz had a phenomenal final season for the Tigers, registering 11 goals and 19 assists, the latter a program record for a season. Koontz helped her team to a very memorable sectional championship final, where No. 2 Homestead edged Warsaw in the second round of penalty kicks. Koontz is headed to Loyola Chicago to continue her soccer career in college.
