Milford Public Library’s New Halloween Arrivals

MILFORD—Milford Public Library added new Halloween-themed books for this spooky time of year. The library has put together several displays in the children’s department to make it easy for the patrons to find the holiday titles. Come check out new Halloween titles such as PJ Masks Saves Halloween or kids’ cookbook, Halloween Sweets and Treats. The library also offers many Halloween titles available in the adult department. There is a large selection of magazine titles to get ready for Halloween that is packed full of ideas for Halloween décor, crafts and recipes.
Donations For Halloween
If interested in donating to the library; it is accepting full-sized candy bars and monetary donations to be used for treats. Any donations may be brought to the adult circulation desk. The library thanks its donators in advance for the donations and generosity.
The Library Is Hiring
Join the team. The Milford Public Library has an open position for a part-time clerk to work in the adult and children’s departments. Applications are available at the adult circulation desk. Apply in person at the Milford Public Library, 101 N. Main Street or call at (574) 658-4312.
Story Time (Virtual) at 10: 30 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 13.
Join the library on ZOOM for story time. This week’s theme is “Apples”. Join Miss Trisha as she reads all about delicious, crunchy, colorful apples. The library will also make an apple-themed craft and have a snack together. Story time is a free program for children ages 3-6. Sign up at the children’s circulation desk today to receive the ZOOM link. Make-and-take craft packets for story time will be available for pick up at the children’s circulation desk prior to the session. No library card needed.
October Lego Challenge
In the spirit of Halloween, for this month, we’re challenging the crew to build a pumpkin out of Legos. The pumpkin can be 2D or 3D, it can have a face or not, it could be big or little. Get creative and use imagination, the library is so excited to see what is created. After building the Lego pumpkins, submit a photo to [email protected] by Oct. 25 for a chance to win a new lego kit. Staff will then vote for the winning submission and the winner will be announced. No library card is needed. For ages 18 & under.
