Chupp, Roberts Named Academic All-State

INDIANAPOLIS – A pair of NorthWood seniors were named to the Indiana High School Tennis Coaches Association Academic All-State honors list for the 2021 season.
Panthers Isaac Roberts and Brady Chupp were both named to the All-State list, which is comprised of players from all over the state. To be eligible for the award, seniors must play in at least 50 percent of the team’s varsity contests, carry at least a 3.8 GPA and have an SAT/ACT score of 1280/27. Other coach requirements are involved.
A host of area boys tennis players were also named to the list, including Bremen’s Dawson Hickman and Shay Kyser, Concord’s Ethan Kavanagh, Culver Academy’s Aydin Turgut, Jimtown’s Matthew Margraf, Penn’s Hunter Striegel, Plymouth’s Liam Fort, South Bend Riley’s Blake Allison, St. Joe’s Daniel Pries and West Noble’s Chris Miller.
Teams were also presented awards for collective scholastic achievement, to which the programs from Fairfield, Goshen, NorthWood, St. Joe, Wawasee and Westview were all honored among those from around the state.
In all, 55 teams and 98 athletes were chosen for the academic honors for the 2021 season.
