Two Seriously Injured In Fulton County Crash

ROCHESTER — Two people were injured Monday, Sept. 27, in an accident in Fulton County.
Jerry Lee Honeycutt, 71, Rochester and a passenger in his vehicle, Becky Ammerman, 59, Macy, were seriously injured in a two-vehicle crash at 3 p.m. The crash was at US 31 and SR 110.
Honeycutt and Ammerman were extricated from their vehicle by members of the Rochester Fire Department and flown from the scene by Lutheran Air and Air Med to Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne. They both suffered critical injuries.
Fulton County 911 received numerous calls at approximately 3 p.m. concerning a crash at US 31 southbound lane and SR 110. Responders arrived and found a 2010 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck and a 2017 Ford F350, pulling a fifth-wheel camper, off the roadway in the southeast corner of the intersection, in the ditch.
A preliminary investigation by the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office suggests the Chevrolet, driven by Honeycutt, was westbound on SR 110 and crossing the southbound lanes of US 31. Honeycutt reportedly pulled into the path of the Ford, driven by Robert Lynn Hammonds, 67, Sullivan, Mo.
Hammonds was checked by medics at the scene and released with minor injuries due to airbag deployment.
Assisting the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office with the crash was Rochester Fire Department, Lutheran EMS, Argos EMS, Lutheran Air, Air Med of Memorial Hospital.
