WARSAW — The Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office is working to fill an open patrolman position.
At a special Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Merit Board meeting on Monday, Sept. 27, board members approved narrowing down candidates for the position to Sam Phat and Austin Slone. The recommendation goes to Sheriff Kyle Dukes.
Once that position is filled, the office will be fully staffed with 40 merit officers.
Also at the meeting, the board approved moving Mike Damjanovic off standard probationary status. He had been on it as a new officer.
