Warsaw Altrusa Club Adds New Member

WARSAW – Altrusa International of Warsaw, Inc. initiated the Club’s fourth new member at their Sept. 16 meeting.
Jeanne Bowen was received into membership in a ceremony conducted by Membership Co-Chairs Stephanie Booth and Mary Garrett. Jeanne is a returning Altrusa member after her retirement. She was sponsored by her sister-in-law, Vicki Martin.
Members are finalizing plans for the upcoming Bingo for Beaman Home scheduled for Oct. 21 at Winona Heritage Room in Winona Lake. This event is the club’s largest service project with all proceeds benefiting the programs and service of the Beaman Home. Tickets are sold out for the 2021 event!
Altrusans are continuing their service to their adopt-a-class at Lincoln Elementary with weekly readings to the students and other support for Mrs. Jacko’s class. They also serve dinner to the 100 Bakers Youth Club students monthly, and this month prepared and served 205 lunches for the Community Kitchen at First United Methodist Church.
Individuals interested in serving this community are encouraged to attend Altrusa’s next meeting to be held at 12 noon on Thursday, Oct. 7, at KREMC, 370 South 250E. in Warsaw.
