Tennis Results: Sept. 16
Warsaw 3, NorthWood 2
It was a singles club for Warsaw Thursday in its home win over NorthWood.
All three singles courts went to the Tigers. Wil Boren and Tristan Anderson were first off the courts, Boren a 6-1, 6-0 win over Wes Steiner and Anderson a 6-4, 6-1 takedown of Nic Anderson. Keller Bailey would hold on for a 2-6, 6-4, 6-3 win over Karson Kirby to secure the team win.
NorthWood countered with a 6-2, 6-3 win from Brady Chupp and Chaz Yoder over Zach Nicholas and Nick Boren, and a 6-3, 2-6, 6-4 win from Charles Anderson and Isaac Roberts over Jack Reed and Khareus Miller.
NorthWood won seven of the nine JV courts.
Wawasee 3, Mishawaka 2
Wawasee evened its Northern Lakes Conference mark at 3-3 with a win at Baker Park.
Both of Wawasee’s doubles team were victorious, Devon Kuhn and Ty Brooks taking out Christian Nelson and Kyle Crooks love and love while Will Long and Jeb Richey beat Finn Bobos and Gabe King two and two. Zeke Keim polished off a three and one win at two singles over Aaron Kramer.
Mishawaka claimed wins from Matt Peletoer, four and two, over Jay Duncan and Jacob Dixon, 6-2, 5-7, 6-3, against Joey Harper.
Wawasee’s Caden Pratt won the lone JV contest.
