SYRACUSE — Wawasee Community Educators Association, in conjunction with the Wawasee Community School Corporation Board of School Trustees, will host an interview forum of all five applicants who applied for the board seat vacancy from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 28, in the Wawasee Middle School lecture room. Mary Lou Dixon will be leaving the school board at the end of October and she resides in Turkey Creek Township.

The event is open to the public and will allow the school board and public an opportunity to hear the candidates speak on important issues pertaining to the role of a board member. Candidates will be asked questions with a two-minute time limit.

After the interview forum, the board will convene in an executive session to discuss the candidates further. The successful candidate will be announced at the Tuesday, Oct. 12, regular session board meeting.
