Tiger Basketball Offering Options For The Future
Press Release
WARSAW – Warsaw boys basketball head coach Matt Moore has announced the Tiger Basketball Academy, created to provide a high level of exposure to players interested in one day becoming a Warsaw basketball player.
The Academy focuses on highly concentrated basketball camps that focus on skillset development and teaching players mastery of the game, which ideally will keep Warsaw among the elite programs in the state. While learning from Moore and his staff, players will get advanced training and exposure and also the opportunity to earn scholarships for great attitude and effort in the classroom.
Opportunities in the Tiger Basketball Academy begin with Team Camp for boys in third through eighth grade. Camp runs Oct. 11-14. The Team Camp is a fundamental skill foundation for elementary through middle school players.
Also on the agenda include Holiday Hoopla (grades 1-8, Jan. 1) and Youth Travel League (grades 3-8, Feb.-April). Holiday Hoopla is designed to create games and competitions for campers, as well as a movie night to cap the evening. The travel league is just that, giving Warsaw a chance to build from within. A year ago, Warsaw had 11 teams in third through eighth grades.
