Recent Car Show Will Benefit KBOR’s Children’s Charities

WARSAW – The Kosciusko Board of REALTORS® hosted their first Car Show for KBOR’s Children’s Charities on Sunday, Aug. 22, at the Tippy Creek Winery.
The brand new KBOR event welcomed sixty car owners and a large crowd of spectators. The cars were judged in four different categories: Current and Future Classic Cars and Current and Future Classic Trucks. Best of Show went to John and Kim Coffey and their 1970 Olds 442. Spectators voted on the People’s Choice award. It went to Charles Rush and his1976 Ford Bronco. The Car Show raised $11,809 for KBOR’s Children’s Charities. T
The car show is a perfect example of REALTORS and their affiliate members working together for a common cause, the children of Kosciusko County. Every single dollar raised stays in Kosciusko County. Among many annual initiatives the monies fund three annual $1,000 College Scholarships, including the “SpiritoftheHeart” Award honoring late REALTORS who made an impact in their communities.
KBOR is also proud to partner with local organizations such as Combined Community Services for the annual back-pack campaign, and the Kosciusko Big Brothers Big Sisters for the Boots for Scholars event. In addition, each year a special Kosciusko County organization is chosen as the recipient of proceeds from the annual Christmas party live auction.
