NLC, TRC Golf Awards Kick Off Fall Showcase

ELKHART – The fall sports season just started a few weeks ago, but postseason awards are already starting to roll in, starting with girls golf.
Northern Lakes Conference
Champion NorthWood leads the way for the All-Northern Lakes Conference awards.
NorthWood won the round robin with a 7-0 mark then shot a 348 to win the postseason tournament on Saturday at Bent Oak. The Panthers had tournament medalist Cybil Stillson, Breanna Goss and Riley Kitson all earn All-NLC honors. Teammate Bella Sechrist was named Honorable Mention All-NLC.
Also making First Team All-NLC were Warsaw’s Marie Frazzetta and Olivia Robinson-Gay, Wawasee’s Taylor Cripe, Plymouth’s Annastasia Hutchings, Northridge’s Karisa Dyer, Concord’s Rayna Boessler and Mishawaka’s Grace Vandenburg.
Honorable Mentions went to Plymouth’s Claire McDonald and Elaina McDonald, Concord’s Madison Weaver and Goshen’s Briza Tayagua-Delgado.
Three Rivers Conference
Maconaquah won the TRC tournament on Saturday with a 338, 26 strokes better than runner-up Tippecanoe Valley.
The Braves had three of the top four shooters, and all were named All-TRC in medalist Daisy Williams, Ava Snyder and Kianna Sharp. Tippecanoe Valley had Lily Ault and Kaydence Mellott named All-TRC, as were Ava Thomas and Payton Moore of Rochester, Ainsley Dale and Alex Cartwright of Northfield and Libby Rogers of Peru.
