National Show To Spotlight Missing 14-Year-Old Syracuse Girl
News Release
SYRACUSE – A Syracuse teen who has been missing for more than three months will be featured on a cable network and a streaming service beginning Wednesday, Aug. 18.
Fourteen-year-old Aaliyah Ramirez was last seen on April 27, when a doorbell camera captured her leaving her home to walk to her bus stop.
She may have run away or been abducted. Authorities suspect she could be in Palm Beach County, Fla.
Her circumstances will be spotlighted on the show, “In Pursuit With John Walsh,” and will be broadcast at 10 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 18, on Investigation Discovery, which can be found on most cable providers. The same show can also be found on Discovery+, the streaming service, beginning Wednesday morning.
Producers for the show said in a news release that the most important tool to help recover missing children is sharing photos of that child.
“We are encouraging any viewers with any information on her whereabouts to call or text us at 1-(833)-3-PURSUE or to submit online at our dedicated hub at InPursuitTips.com,” the news release said.
Both resources are staffed by trained operators who will accept anonymous tips and alert the proper authorities.
Wednesday’s episode marks the season premiere for season No. 3.
In the past two years, the show has profiled 48 missing children and seven of those have been recovered, according to a spokesperson for the show.
