PIERCETON — A fire north of Pierceton destroyed a house Monday morning, Aug. 16.
The fire at 7206 E. CR 150N, Pierceton, began just after 10 a.m. and required numerous fire departments to get it under control.
A man who did not identify himself said he lived there and that all occupants were able to escape.
Responding departments included Pierceton Fire Department, Winona Lake Fire Department and Warsaw-Wayne Fire Territory. Atwood Fire Department and Plain Township Fire Department were also called to assist. Also on the scene were Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office and Lutheran EMS.
Dispatchers were still calling for additional support more than an hour after the first calls arrived.
