Thursday Morning Storm Kept Emergency Responders Busy

WARSAW — Medical runs, fire responses, and safety patrols are just some of the many responsibilities local emergency personnel respond to every day.
Incidents related to severe storms are part of those responses.
During and after a severe weather event, firefighters, police officers, medical personnel, dispatchers, and cleaning crews respond to calls such as electrical fires and road hazards.
At 6:29 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 12, a severe thunderstorm warning was issued for the majority of Kosciusko County. Departments responded to more than 20 road hazards and 10 electrical fires.
