Dear Editor,

Did you personally receive money from the recent Covid Relief package? Did your business? Did you receive an early tax credit (in the form of cash) to help you better care for your children in this extraordinary time of hardship?

Do you know who voted “yes” to give you that money, that tax credit? Do you know who voted not to give you those benefits? You might be surprised to find out that some of the folks claiming credit for your good fortune are the same folks who did not want you to have that good fortune.

Did your mamas teach you to thank nice people who bestowed gifts upon you? Don’t you think you should? You better find out who to thank though. The names of all Indiana U.S. Senators and Representatives and their voting records are available to you if you look. Maybe a phone call or a letter or an email of thanks would be a good idea. Who ya’ gonna call? Make sure your gratitude goes to the right people … Maybe in the form of a vote in the next election.
