Argos Man Arrested For Child Molesting

ROCHESTER — An Argos man was recently arrested after allegedly molesting a child.
Anthony Maurice Norris Jr., 31, 472 Marshall St., Argos, is charged with child molesting, a level 1 felony; and child molesting, a level 4 felony.
On Nov. 23, 2020, the Department of Child Services and Fulton County Sheriff’s officers interviewed a parent regarding a molestation report. The parent said their child had been molested on two separate occasions by a different man each time. According to court documents, the child did not provide any details but brought the subject up on a few occasions.
The DCS worker interviewed the child about what happened. The child said they were staying in a camper with Norris when Norris inappropriately touched them. A few days after this occurred, the child said they were inappropriately touched by another man. The child did not give a specific date on when the two incidents occurred. Efforts have been made to obtain the identification of the second man; however, the unnamed individual has not been located.
Norris was booked in the Fulton County Jail on July 25, with a $75,000 surety bond.
