Five Injured After Buggy Hit From Behind North Of Syracuse

SYRACUSE — A family of five from Syracuse were transported by Med Flight to Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne, following a vehicle-buggy accident Friday night, July 23.
The accident occurred at 10:46 p.m. on SR 13, south of US 6.
Carson Speybroeck, 18, Syracuse, was northbound on SR 13, south of US 6 in a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee and rear-ended Yoder’s horse-drawn buggy. Yoder was also northbound.
Jerry Yoder, 33, CR 33, Syracuse and his four passengers: Renita Yoder, 31, Syracuse; Olivia Yoder, 14; Brooklyn Yoder, 10; and Carter Yoder, 32, were all injured.
Jerry Yoder suffered foot pain. Renita Yoder, complained of neck and head pain. Olivia Yoder suffered head, neck and other unknown injuries. Brooklyn Yoder, suffered head and neck injuries and Carter Yoder suffered minor cuts and scratches.

Speybroeck was not injured.
