Cory Michael Robinson
Cory Michael Robinson, 41, of rural Larwill, celebrated his 41st birthday in Heaven after he passed away from a long battle with cancer on Friday, July 16, 2021, at Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home, Fort Wayne, where he was admitted four days earlier.
He was born July 16, 1980, in Wabash, a son of Michael L. and Cynthia Ann Juillerat Robinson. Growing up in the Larwill area, he graduated from Whitko High School in 1999.
Working various jobs in the area, he last was employed by Shindigz in South Whitley.
He enjoyed buying cars and renovating them to resell, going to swap meets and the casino.
A big Colts football fan, he enjoyed watching the games and also IU basketball. Cory enjoyed being a bell ringer for the Salvation Army at Christmas and he also liked playing Rummy-O with his family.
He attended Warsaw Community Church where he was baptized in 2010.
A very caring and loving person, he will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his mother, Cynthia Able, of Larwill; his father, Michael Robinson, of South Whitley; brother, Josh (Leslee) Robinson, of Columbia City; sister, Kelli (Justin) McCurdy, of Columbia City; nephews: Taelor Robinson, Brycen Robinson, Gavin McCurdy, Zavier Derbeck; nieces: Hannah Weber and Hartleigh Derbeck, all of Columbia City; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents: James and Patricia Juillerat and Lee Robinson and Mildred Solti.
A celebration of Cory’s life will be held in the lower level of Warsaw Community Church, 1855 S. County Farm Road, Warsaw, on Saturday, July 24 at noon with a gathering of family and friends from 10 a.m. until the memorial at noon.
Arrangements are in the care of Smith & Sons Funeral Home, Columbia City.
