Silver Lake Teen Arrested In Child Molestation Case

WARSAW — A Silver Lake teen was arrested after allegedly molesting a child on more than one occasion.
Antonio Martinez-Moyotl, also known as Antonio Martinez Jr., 18, 1724 E. CR 1300S, Silver Lake, is charged with child molesting, a level 3 felony; and two counts of child molesting, both level 4 felonies.
On May 31, a Warsaw Police officer responded to a report of molestation. The child’s mother told the officer the child was molested by Martinez-Moyotl.
On June 3, Safe Harbor Advocacy Center representatives interviewed the child about what happened. According to court documents, the child said they spent time with Martinez-Moyotl and communicated with him through social media apps. The child reported that on May 21, Martinez-Moyotl inappropriately touched them and engaged in sexual conduct with them while knowing they were underage.
The child also said that Martinez-Moyotl inappropriately touched them in February.
On June 10, Martinez-Moyotl was interviewed by officers. During the interview, Martinez-Moyotl admitted to inappropriately touching the child and engaging in sexual conduct with them on more than one occasion. Martinez-Moyotl also told the officer he knew the child was underage.
Martinez-Moyotl has already been arrested and released on a $25,250 surety and cash bond.
