County 4-H Program Crowns Royalty Court, Presents Awards

WARSAW — Purdue Extension of Kosciusko County crowned the fair’s royalty court and awarded 4-H members for dozens of projects during the annual public fashion revue and awards night on Thursday, July 8.
This year’s 4-H king is Cameron Zimmerman. He is an eight-year 4-H member with the Milford Helping Hands, where he has held the offices of recreation officer and junior member on the swine committee. His projects have included swine market litter, beef, beef feeder calves, consumer clothing, create-with-a-mix, foods, sewing, photography, sport fishing and shooting sports. He is a student at Wawasee High School and plans to attend an agriculture college on either a wrestling or football scholarship with the goal to take his current swine operation to the next level and become nationally known for his pigs. He also plans to coach either football or wrestling and start preaching at a church. His parents are John and Peg Zimmerman.
4-H queen is Arrington Krull, a nine-year 4-H member with Milford Helping Hands. Her projects have included beef, goats, swine, photography, miscellaneous crafts, garden, fashion review, wearable arts, gift wrapping, foods, Lego, creative writing, blacksmithing and verbal communications. She has held the offices of reporter, secretary, treasurer and inspiration leader in her local club. She is a student at Wawasee High School and plans to attend Purdue University to study either animal or plant science and entrepreneurship and come back to the family farm as a seventh generation farmer and raise hogs, goats and row crops. Her parents are Shawn and Lissa Krull.
Logan Schuller is this year’s 4-H prince. He is an eight-year 4-H member with the Goat Club. His projects have included garden, wildlife, soil and water, beekeeping, forestry, consumer grilling, goats, poultry, health, electric, library, weather, plant science, Lego and sport fishing. He has served as a recreation leader and is a student at West Noble High School. Â His parents are Tyler and Heather Schuller.
The 4-H princess is Alyssa Swanson, an eight-year 4-H member with the Leesburg Mighty Farmers, where she has held the offices of song leader and reporter. Her projects have included rabbit, dairy, rabbit poster, miscellaneous crafts, photography and gift wrapping. She is a student at Warsaw Community High School and her future plans include studying abroad with the intent to get a degree in either language education or physical therapy. Her parents are Eric and Kelley Holo.
