MILFORD — The town of Milford and Forward Kosciusko are hosting an open house from 5-7 p.m., Tuesday, June 29, in Milford Community Building, 111 S. Main St., to give residents the opportunity to provide input on Milford’s long-term comprehensive plan.
“The Town of Milford needs your input,” said Tricia Gall, clerk-treasurer and member of the Forward Kosciusko steering committee. “Please come share your thoughts, ideas and dreams of what you love about Milford and what you wish to see in the future. We want to ensure your input is part of Milford’s long-term comprehensive plan.”
Drinks and ice cream sandwiches will be provided as long as supplies last.
The open house is the second Forward Kosciusko event in Milford held in the last month. The first was held in Milford School on June 9.
Van Buren Township Trustee Becky Alles stated the workshop was an “opportunity for citizens to get city and county governments to listen to you.”
Milford Town Councilman and Forward Kosciusko steering committee member Ken Long commented on the importance of a comprehensive plan for Milford, specifically when it comes to obtaining grants. “Without a comprehensive plan we can’t file for grants,” he said, adding community support for any project is of paramount concern to the government and non-profit bodies providing grants.
