Warsaw Announces Series Of Tiger Way Athletic Awards

WARSAW – The Warsaw athletic department issued a series of Tiger Way Athletic Awards Thursday highlighting exceptional student athletes.
The Dave Fulkerson Award is given for leadership and commitment to school and community. This is awarded to a senior athlete without major recognition in athletics. They must demonstrate leadership and is committed to serving their school and the Warsaw community. The award goes to Elizabeth Stone.
The Jan Soyez Award is presented to a senior female athlete who has excelled in mental attitude. This individual has been a participant in sports, without major recognition, and has contributed to the sport program of Warsaw. The award goes to Kendall Wayne.
The David Fribley Award is presented to a senior male athlete who has excelled in mental attitude. This individual has been a participant in sports, without major recognition, and has contributed to the sport program of Warsaw. The award goes to Nathaniel Taylor and Gabe Bowers.
The Coaches Award is presented to one senior male athlete and one senior female athlete whom all varsity coaches vote on that exhibit excellence on the playing surface. The awards go to Aaron Greene, Audrey Grimm and Kennedy Lauck.
The Pete Thorn Award is presented to varsity athletes who excel in three sports. The awards go to Lillian Boston and Sam Lechlitner.
Most varsity letters went to Sam Lechlitner with 11, and both Adree Beckham and Elizabeth Stone with 10.
The Ellen Keifer Award goes to the female athlete with the highest GPA, who is Madeline Bowell with a 4.44 GPA.
The Al Rhodes Award goes to the male athlete with the highest GPA, who is Jacob Kissling with a 4.51 GPA.
