At South Central
Culver 21, Triton 11
Culver turned it on late to advance in the Class 1-A sectional Tuesday evening.
Triton trailed 10-8 going into its half of the fifth, but couldn’t respond while the Cavs posted four runs in the sixth and seven more in the seventh to pull away.
Lucile Overmyer was 5-for-6 with three runs scored and seven RBI to lead the Cavs to the semis, where it will take on South Central Wednesday.
Stats were not provided for Triton, which bows out of the 2021 season 4-17 overall.

Tippecanoe Valley 4, Rochester 1
Gus Garr fired a two-hit shutout Tuesday to push the Wildcats (10-12) through while Valley roared past its bitter rivals to a seat in the championship.
Garr struck out six and walked just one in the gem, and at the plate, helped herself with a double, triple and three runs scored.
Valley (13-14) had its own version of a gem twirled by Corinna Stiles, who allowed just three hits and struck out nine in the complete game.
Stiles also did damage at the plate, driving in two and Brittney Benn had two doubles among a three-hit day.
The two Three Rivers Conference rivals will meet Thursday at 7 p.m. for the sectional marbles.
