Discovery Of Nude Woman In Bathtub Leads To Arrest

SYRACUSE — A Milford woman was arrested after a Syracuse man found her naked in a bathtub in his home.
Torri Shyenne Calland, 27, 427 E. CR 1150N, Milford, is charged with residential entry, a level 6 felony; public intoxication, a class B misdemeanor; and public nudity, a class C misdemeanor.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, at approximately 3:12 a.m. on Dec. 19, 2020, a Syracuse Police officer was dispatched to a residence in reference to an unwanted person.
Upon arrival, the officer saw a woman, identified from previous encounters as Calland, walking toward his police vehicle wearing no clothing. She continued walking and talking to herself.
The officer spoke with the man who lives at the residence. He said he was awakened by a noise and heard yelling coming from the bathroom. When he went to investigate, he found Calland nude and lying in the bathtub.
The man told the woman he was going to call police and she crawled out of his house and began walking around his yard.
The man told police he had never met the woman before.
The officer spoke with Calland, who admitted to being under the influence of a substance and being on a “bad trip,” but did not say what type of drug she consumed.
Officers were unable to find her clothing in the area. EMS personnel arrived and took Calland to Kosciusko Community Hospital.
The temperature on the early morning of Dec. 19, 2020, was in the low 30s. According to the National Weather Service, frostbite can set in within 10 minutes of exposure at that temperature.
Calland was booked at the Kosciusko County Jail on May 17 on a $5,250 surety and cash bond.
