BREAKING: Three Injured, One Flown From Scene

LEESBURG — Drivers of a Chevrolet Silverado and a Chrysler Pacifica were transported to Kosciusko Community Hospital, while the passenger in the Chrysler was airlifted to Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne, following a two-vehicle collision at Armstrong Road and CR 200E.
The accident occurred at approximately 10:20 a.m. today, Friday, May 14.
The passenger, a male, was trapped in the vehicle and had to be extricated by Plain Township firefighters.
A landing zone was set up in the field at nearby Tippy Creek Winery for Samaritan Air Ambulance to land by the Plain Township Fire Department.
No information on the injuries of the three people was available.
Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office and Plain Township Fire Department responded to the scene, along with three Lutheran EMS ambulance crews.
- Firefighters had to push back the Chevrolet from against the Chrysler to extricate the passenger.
- A Plain Township firefighter uses the cutters to cut the door post on the Chrysler to remove the door.
- Samaritan Air Ambulance lands in the grassy area at Tippy Creek Winery, near the scene, to receive its patient.
- The passenger side door was removed by firefighters to free the passenger from the vehicle.
