CDC Drops Mask Requirements For Fully Vaccinated People
Staff Report
WASHINGTON – The Centers For Disease Control and Prevention issued new guidance allowing fully vaccinated people to no longer wear masks indoors in all but the most crowded settings.
The new guidance could ease restrictions for workplaces and schools, but will still call for wearing masks in crowded indoor settings like buses, planes, hospitals, prisons and homeless shelters.
The move is a significant step toward returning to normal from the year-long pandemic. It comes after growing questions about why people should continue wearing masks after being fully vaccinated.
