Plymouth 5, Wawasee 0
Plymouth made a bold statement in Syracuse, shutting down the Warriors (6-8, 1-6 NLC).
The Pilgrims lost just four games among its three singles wins, including a 6-0, 6-3 win by Miranda German over Kiah Farrington.
Plymouth one dubs won 6-2, 6-0 over Tate Cowan and Abby Morehead. The lone hotly contested court came at two dubs, where Annie Plothow and Cassidy Riddle of Plymouth and Kenley Stewart and Allison Clark split the first two sets, 6-2 and 6-3, before Plymouth rallied for a 6-3 clincher in the third set.
Plymouth went 7-3 in JV courts.
Manchester 3, Tippecanoe Valley 2
Manchester’s singles play was also superior as it crushed Tippecanoe Valley in North Manchester.
Manchester’s trio of Halle Briner, Eva Bazzoni and Alyssa Marvel lost just three total games to Hannah Parson, Hannah Engstrand and Peyton Oldham.
Both doubles courts went to the max, the pairing of Kaitlin Neese and Mackenzie Costello coming back to win 6-2, 1-6, 7-5 against Abbie Wampler and Kayla Hippensteel. Two dubs went epic, where Manchester’s Sarah Kerlin and Hailey Krom produced a 12-10 win in the first set tiebreaker, then Valley’s Jada Hicks and Andie Schwenger rallied for a 6-4 second set. The third went to Valley 11-9 in a super tiebreaker that had Valley lose a 4-0 lead to a 9-9 tie before taking the final two points.
The win moved Manchester to an impressive 8-0 on the season and 5-0 in the TRC, Valley dropping to 6-6 overall.
Tippy won four of the five JV courts.
