Early Morning Leesburg Blaze Destroys House

LEESBURG — The Plain Township Fire Department was called to a house fire at 2:47 a.m. Monday, May 3, at 220 EMS T34 Lane, Leesburg.
When firefighters arrived, the backside of the house was on fire. Four people inside the house were awakened by the fire and all escaped safely.
The house is considered a total loss. It was a one-story, 2,088 square foot, single-family home.
According to the Beacon mapping system, the house is owned by Colin Nicol.
The fire appears to have originated on the porch with a grill. However, the fire is still under investigation.
Plain Township Fire Department was assisted by North Webster, Milford, Syracuse and Warsaw fire departments as well as Lutheran EMS.
