iBOP Celebrates Recent Success, Plans For The Future
News Release
WARSAW — The local not-for-profit group, Indiana Business Opportunity Partners, also known as iBOP, recently gave more than $3,000 to two charities.
iBOP donated $2,895.46 to Beloved: Not Forgotten and $242 to Combined Community Services (CCS) through funds raised at its 8th annual Spring Bling Charity Bazaar and Quarter Paddle Auction on March 13.
Beloved: Not Forgotten was the organization’s Charity of Focus for the event, and tickets for a raffle basket valued at more than $150 raised funds for CCS. The bazaar featured area direct-sales vendors and crafters. Each iBOP member donated an item from their direct sales or home-based business to the raffle basket.
At the event, the first 25 people through the doors received a swag bag containing coupons and gifts. Auction tickets were available in advance for $5 and were $7 the day of the event. Tickets were exchanged for a numbered auction paddle.
Bidders then raised their paddles and supplied a quarter per retail level of the item up for sale, entering them into a drawing for that item. No item cost bidders more than four quarters. There was a winner every round, and there were more than 100 items up for bid, including ones valued at more than $189.
The mission of Beloved: Not Forgotten is to provide a safe residential environment where those victimized by domestic minor sex trafficking in Indiana can begin the transformation of their destinies.
