Beezley Ready To Crusade With Madonna

SYRACUSE – The Beezley family won’t have to travel terribly far to see their daughter continue her basketball career.
Wawasee senior Ella Beezley announced late last week her intentions to continue her basketball career with Madonna University in Livonia, Michigan.
Beezley did not play for Wawasee this past season, but did play as a junior. In 2019-20, Beezley saw action in 16 games, settling as a 30 percent shooter from the floor and a 90 percent free throw shooter. Beezley added five made threes, 34 rebounds and 20 steals during her junior campaign.
Beezley, who also competed for four years in cross country, additionally ran track and chose to play tennis this spring. Beezley also holds several years of experience with AAU basketball.
A star student in the classroom, Beezley is a Scholar Athlete and will graduate 11th in her class carrying an 11.60 GPA (on a 12-scale).
At Madonna, Beezley plans to major in biology.
The Crusaders were 2-13 this past season. While no one on the roster is from Indiana, the team did have several Indiana-based teams on the schedule, including Grace College, Indiana Wesleyan University, Taylor University and Holy Cross College.
Madonna University was most recently coached by Rachel Steinbarger, who left the program after Madonna’s 2020-21 season. The school has not named her replacement as of April 24.
