Pets Of The Week
Press Release
PIERCETON — Pets of the Week are available for adoption at the Animal Welfare League, located at 1048 S. CR 325E, Pierceton.
Wanda
When Wanda arrived at the AWL, she was in dire straits, and not as a member of the rock band. Found as a stray, she was severely malnourished, covered in scrapes, and had a large tumor on her back end. She was so scared of people and would hide in the corner of her kennel. After a few days of loving hands and gentle care, Wanda began to trust AWL staff and really came out of her shell. She showed staff that she still had a zest for life and was a sweet, fun-loving girl.
Once she was a healthy weight, AWL staff scheduled her an appointment with a local vet for a health evaluation. Thanks to their kindness, Wanda had her tumor removed and made a miraculous recovery. Wanda is a six-year-old, spayed, female Staffordshire Bull Terrier mix. She has a white coat with caramel patches and a cheerful smile. She weighs approximately 50 pounds. Wanda is now on a search for her “furever” family. She loves meeting new friends and does well with other dogs. Call to make an appointment to visit Wanda today.
Wanda’s adoption fee is $130.
Tundra
There is no doubt about it. Tundra the cat is an absolute hoot. He is a five-month-old, neutered, male Domestic Shorthair mix. He has a gray and white coat and bright green eyes and weighs six pounds. Tundra is all about playtime. He will happily find ways to turn any item into a toy and any person into a friend. He would make a wonderful companion to any family or individuals. If you have other pets, Tundra would like to meet them. Tundra is up for any type of adventure, just as long as he is with you. He is sure to entertain and bring joy into your life. Call to make an appointment to meet Tundra today.
Tundra’s adoption fee is $95.
