Tippecanoe Valley Baseball 11, Fairfield 1
Annikan Pettit continued to impress Monday in a monster game against the visiting Falcons.
The sophomore mashed a grand slam and had five total RBI in the contest, falling just a triple short of the cycle. Rex Kirchenstien added two triples to the offense for the second time this season, and added three runs scored. Brendyn Stump chipped in an RBI double and two runs on the board.
Marcus Bernicky was solid on the hill for the Vikings, tossing a complete game five hitter, allowing just the one runs and striking out five.
Warsaw Softball 11, Wawasee 2
The Tigers took all it was given Monday evening at home, disposing of Wawasee for its first Northern Lakes Conference win of the season.
Warsaw smacked 14 hits, including five doubles, and benefitted from six Wawasee errors that allowed a pair of runs to score.
Natalya Holder, Lindsey Bradley, Avery Sleeth, Kendyll Landis and Megan Mckenzie all had two hits for the Tigers (3-2) and combined to score seven and drive in five.
Tori Tackett got the win, limiting Wawasee to five hits and striking out seven. The Warriors (1-6-1) had RBI hits from Kiaundra Olson and Kathryn Flannery. Olson took the loss, working all six innings in the circle for the Warriors.
