Lady Panthers Again Selected For HOF Invite

BLOOMINGTON – The NorthWood girls golf team has been invited to participate in the 2021 Indiana High School Golf Coaches Association Hall of Fame Invitational at The Golf Club at Eagle Point in Bloomington on Aug. 28.
This is the eight time in school history, and sixth consecutive year, that the NorthWood program has been invited to attend this prestigious event. Previous appearances were (host/course) in 2010 (Lafayette Jeff/Battleground GC), 2013 (Penn/Knollwood CC), 2016 (Greensburg/Greensburg CC), 2017 (West Lafayette/Ackerman-Allen GC), 2018 (Lake Central/Sandy Pines GC), 2019 (Westfield/Purgatory GC) and 2020 (Westfield/The Trophy Club).
The tournament will be hosted by the Westfield Shamrocks and features some of the best players and teams in the state of Indiana.
Among the ranked teams (in the final 2020 coaches poll) invited among the 16 on the list include Evansville North (1), Carmel (2), Columbus North (5), Westfield (6), Brownsburg (8), NorthWood (9), Hamilton Southeastern (12), Franklin Community (12), Guerin Catholic (15), Penn (16), Center Grove (16) and Noblesville (20). Batesville, Lebanon, Richmond and Tipton are also in the field.
NorthWood finished 12th at the 2020 IHSAA State Finals, and are expected to return four of its top five, including seniors Cybil Stillson and Breanna Goss, both finishing within the top 50 at the state finals.
