WARSAW — The Warsaw Community Public Library Board of Trustees discussed library programming during a brief meeting on Monday, April 12.
WCPL Library Director Ann Zydek said the library has been hosting more online programs and encouraged board members to participate in the library’s Thursday ‘Bedtime Story on Facebook’ events.
“If you feel you’ve read something that you’d like to share, or you read a book and you really enjoy it, or you know something that would be good to read to kids at night, there’s a way we can get that recorded and you can share reading,” said Zydek.
She also encouraged board members to write reviews on books geared toward adults.
Zydek also informed the board of a future replacement for an apparatus in the library’s main elevator shaft. She said costs are estimated around $23,000. The apparatus controls the opening and closing of the elevator door.
She said Facilities Supervisor Bruce Hively warned her that when the replacement occurs, it could take about three to six days.
The board’s next meeting is at 4 p.m. Monday, May 10.
