Judy Elaine Miller
Judy Elaine Miller, 73, Goshen, formerly of New Paris, died 4:48 p.m. Thursday, April 1, 2021, at Courtyard Healthcare Goshen. She was born July 24, 1947, in Indianapolis, to Albert Edward and Mary Elizabeth (Worley) Docktor. On June 18, 1966, married Mervin J. Miller Sr.
Surviving are her husband, Mervin J. Miller Sr. New Paris; daughter Mary (Rick) Yontz, Goshen; son Mervin J. (Jennifer Weinley-Miller) Miller Jr., Millersburg; grandchildren Michael (Emily) Yontz, Elizabeth (Chase) Yontz, Sara Yontz, Jayme (Isaiah) Yontz, Matthew Yontz, Paola Miller, Gage Miller, Jennelle (Ryan) Johnson, Brandan (Alex) Weinley, Payton (Barbie) Miller and Sydnee Miller; siblings Birdie (Don) Pressley, Indianapolis, Becky S. Cothran, Mooresville, and Penny (Tony) Williams, Indianapolis; and great-grandchildren August Johnson, Owen Johnson, Cayte Weinley and Greylynn Miller.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a great-grandchild Julia May.
Judy retired from McIntosh Greenhouse and Garden Center after 23 years. She was a 1965 graduate of Arsenal Technical High School, Indianapolis. Judy was a member of New Paris Church of the Brethren. She was known as “Doctor Judy” for her knowledge in flowers and her ability to diagnosis plant issues. She was a master gardener. Judy loved crocheting and was a die-hard Chicago Bears fan. She especially loved spending time with her family, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and friends.
Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on Monday, April 5, at Rieth-Rohrer-Ehret Funeral Home, 311 S. Main St., Goshen, and one hour prior to a 10:30 a.m. funeral service on Tuesday, April 6, at New Paris Church of the Brethren, 68170 CR 23, New Paris. Burial will follow at New Paris Cemetery. Pastor Stan Godfrey will officiate.
