WARSAW — A Warsaw entertainment center now offers ax throwing.
On Friday, March 12, the Kosciusko Chamber of Commerce had a ribbon-cutting for Super Geeks & Gaming, 322 N. Detroit St. The business has been around since 2016, but has recently added ax throwing to its activities.
Those ages 11 and older are welcome to try the experience, which involves throwing a small ax at a target.
Though people may walk in during regular business hours to do it, business co-owner Rich Syndram advises people to set up a time as it’s been quite popular.
That may be done by calling the business at (574) 549-9978 or messaging it via its Facebook page. The cost is $25 per person per hour for walk-ins and $20 for those who set up a time ahead.
Syndram, who owns the business with his brother Mike Syndram and son Justin Syndram, said he hopes to have tournaments and “get into the World Axe Throwing League.”
“So who knows, maybe one day ESPN would even shoot here for a tournament,” he said.
Hours for the business are 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday-Wednesday and Friday and Saturday.
Rich Syndram said he hopes the business gives people “somewhere they can come and hang out.”
“We actually even put that corner over there as a kids’ room,” he said. “We’ve got coloring books, we’re going to have toys over there for the kids and we’re going to run some movies and stuff on the big screen there, so if parents just want a break and come in and have some food and have their kids over there to play.”
