Warsaw Schools Hosting Kindergarten Round-Up March 22
Press Release
WARSAW — Warsaw Community Schools will be holding its kindergarten round-up parent/guardian information meeting from 6-7:30 p.m. March 22.
The parent meeting will be held at the Performing Arts Center at Warsaw Community High School. The meeting will contain important information about registration, immunizations, kindergarten countdown, and STEM program schools along with the Dual Language Immersion program. There will be tables located out in the main area for each elementary school, as well as food services, transportation and the school head nurse.
Due to social distancing regulations, masks will be required as you enter and exit the building. Once seated, you may remove your masks as long as you are facing forward. There will be enough seating available for two parents/guardians to attend while following CDC rules of social distancing. Please be sure to remain socially distanced while seated. WCS staff request that only parents attend the meeting. There will not be any teachers at the meeting. Each elementary school in the next few months will be setting up times that the new student and parents/guardians can come in, walk around the building and see where the student will be eating and will be in class. Those times will be scheduled with each elementary school.
If unable to attend the meeting, information will be available on the school website following the meeting.
WCS school board policy states a student must be five years of age by Aug. 1 of that school year to attend kindergarten. WCS does not allow early entry. If you have any questions, contact the central office at (574) 371-5098.
