SYRACUSE — On Wednesday, March 3, Syracuse-Wawasee Chamber of Commerce board members and ambassadors received a sneak peek of Syracuse’s newest business, Dockside Gifts & Apparel, during a ribbon-cutting event held before its official opening Monday, March 8.
Located in the former Clippers hair salon, 1100 S. Huntington St., Dockside Gifts & Apparel owner Patrick Tranter, who also operates DK Promotions & Apparel, completely overhauled the space for his new business, removing dated shag carpeting while also brightening the space with new paint and LED lights. The updates shine a light on an array of products offered by the gift and apparel store that include clothing, signs, candles, cozy blankets and more.
“A lot of items are centered around the lake,” Tranter shared, adding customization is a major component of what Dockside Gifts & Apparel offers. “We customize all apparel. We also customize signs, banners, koozies, pens and cups — a lot of (these items) can be used to promote business.”
Dockside Gifts & Apparel purchases its customizable items factory direct and passes that savings along to its customers.
Once fully established, Tranter said hours would be 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays. Tranter co-owns the business with his wife, Darcy.
