Northridge Diver Duo Among ICGSA All-State

INDIANAPOLIS – A pair of top-five finishes at the IHSAA State Finals elevated a pair of Northridge divers to All-State status by the ICGSA.
Kaitlin Simons and Jiselle Miller were both tabbed as Second Team All-State by the coaches’ association. Miller was the sectional and regional champion, breaking the sectional record in the process. Miller was also the Northern Lakes Conference champion and finished fourth at the state finals. One spot better in Indianapolis was Simons, taking third, who had finished one spot behind Miller in each of the first three legs of the tournament season.
Earning ICGSA All-State First Team honors were Lilian Christianson of Penn, champion of the 50 freestyle, and Mary Catherine Pruitt of St. Joe, who won her third-straight 500 freestyle state championship.
Second Team All-State honors also went to a trio of St. Joe swimmers in Lauren Pieniazkiewicz, Emma Feltzer and Jane Lloyd.
A total of 27 swimmers were named First Team All-State and 18 more were chosen as Second Team All-State.
