Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accident:
- 4:17 p.m. Monday, March 1, 852 N. Parker St., Warsaw. Drivers: Derra E. Blosser, 42, North CR 350W, Warsaw; and Amie S. Greene, 41, West CR 300N, Warsaw. Blosser was backing up her vehicle from a parking spot on the east side of Culver’s restaurant. As she was backing up, she turned her vehicle too sharply and it struck Greene’s vehicle, which was next to hers. Damage up to $2,500.
Elkhart County
Officers with the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accidents:
- 4:17 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 27, US 6 west of CR 133, north of Syracuse. Driver: Joshuia D. Bursey, 36, Laotto. Bursey suffered head trauma and declined medical treatment at the scene. Passenger, Shawn Restrepo, 36, Laotto, complained of head pain and was taken to Goshen Hospital. Bursey’s 2002 Chevrolet Avalanche went off the roadway due to a mechanical malfunction. Bursey was cited for not wearing a seatbelt, driving while suspended and driving left of center.
- 5:05 p.m. Friday, Feb. 26, CR 29 south of CR 50, north of Syracuse. Driver: unknown. Pedestrian: Mark Warren, 58, CR 29, Syracuse. An unknown vehicle, possibly a Ford F-250 super duty or larger, was southbound on CR 29, south of CR 50, when it struck Warren who was walking on the west side of the roadway and fled the scene. The truck should have front passenger side damage. The investigation is ongoing.
Fulton County
Officers with the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accidents:
- 6:59 a.m. Monday, March 1, Fortna Drive, Rochester. Driver: Gerry D. Button, 53, Lucerne. Button’s vehicle hit a parked vehicle.
- 3:34 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 28, CR 100W and CR 650N, Rochester. Driver: Marvin I. Ramer, 41, Rochester. Ramer’s vehicle struck a pole.
