Paddock Springs Offers Free Monthly Meal To Kosciusko Seniors
Staff Report
WARSAW — Kosciusko County seniors can receive a free meal once a month through Paddock Springs, a nursing facility located at 2695 Shelden Street in Warsaw.
The meals are offered on the second Wednesday of each month. The next community meal will be on March 10.
“We love to give back to the seniors in the community and provide them with monthly meals, cooked fresh by own Director of Food Services, Jessica DeGiulio-Horn,” said Customer Service Specialist Raquel Jimenez. “We offer this service once a month, whether it is a drive-thru pickup or a front door drop-off. We are always looking for seniors who may need an extra meal or even those who just want to see a cheerful face.”
Paddock Springs provides assisted living, memory care, short-term rehab and long-term care.
“We normally provide a sit-down meal at our campus once a month for seniors, but due to COVID, we have been looking for ways to still support them but from a distance,” Jimenez said. “We have been doing drive-thru lunches or drop-offs, depending on the weather.
They currently provide around 40 meals a month but are trying to reach more seniors who may benefit from this service. Anyone interested may call Olivia or Raquel at (574)-658-9455 to sign up.
