Gymnastics Results: Feb. 18
Lakeland 95.65, West Noble 69.225, Warsaw 67.675
Warsaw hosted a pair of sectional foes Thursday night at the Whitman Group.
The Tigers were down to two full competitors in Sydni Purvis and Brooke Bolinger, but Purvis would lead the meet with a 33.175 all-around score. Purvis had an 8.4 on vault, 8.075 on bars, 8.75 on beam and 7.95 on floor. Highlighting Bolinger’s scores were an 8.15 on vault and 7.85 on floor.
Emily Byler led Lakeland with an 8.8 on vault and 8.0 on bars, Emma Schiffli had an 8.15 on beam and Baylee Slone added an 8.425 on floor.
Pacing the Chargers were Rachel Klages with an 8.15 on vault, Taylor Shoemaker with a 7.35 on beam and Payton Eash with a 7.0 on floor.
Huntington North 95.2, Wawasee 91
A potential regional reunion took place Thursday as Wawasee hosted the regional dwellers, Huntington North.
The Vikings sent out the top two gymnasts on the night, Olivia Hartup scoring a 32.35 all-around and Chloe Camomile with a 31.775 for second in all-around. Hartup led the meet in two events, an 8.95 on floor and 7.6 on bars. Teammate Janna Teusch posted an 8.95 to win vault.
Wawasee’s Emma Ebright scored 7.875 to lead the beam scores and had the third-best all-around tally of the night with a 31.725. Talia Kuhl would add an 8.875 on vault for third, 7.425 on bars for second and 8.475 on floor for second.
