WINONA LAKE – A pair of girls basketballers from Lakeland Christian Academy were among the selections for the All-Hoosier Plains Conference list, the conference announced Thursday.

In the new construction of the conference, the HPC finished its first girls basketball season as presently constructed. Bethany Christian won the conference title, followed by Argos, LCA, Trinity, Elkhart Christian and South Bend Career Academy.

The All-Conference Team included Jessi Calizo and Finley Hobbs of LCA. Bethany Christian had Marian Stoltzfus, Zoe Willems and Mia Reinhardt, Argos had Madilyn VanDerWeele, Elizabeth Edmonds and Emma Dunlap, Trinity had Clare Cullinan and Mary Curran, ECA had Camille Annan and SBCA had Kayla Howell.

The Conference also announced its All-Academic list for girls basketball. To be named, juniors and seniors must be on the basketball roster and carry at least a 3.5 GPA.

Lakeland Christian had Calizo and Brooklyn Apted earn honors.

Argos had VanDerWeele, Edmonds, Sophia Bollenbacher, Carleigh Miller, Carly Ellis and Hannah Hurford. Bethany Christian had Reinhardt, Saddie Brenneman, Maddie Chupp, Rilynn Kauffman and Ivonne Ortiz. Elkhart Christian had Annan, Darryn Caudill, Adaline Russell and Maria Youngen. Trinity had Cullinan, Curran, Elanor Balsbaugh and Audrey Haigh. Career Academy had Angel Morrow.
