Pets Of The Week
Press Release
PIERCETON — Pets of the Week are available for adoption at the Animal Welfare League, 1048 S. CR 325E, Pierceton.
Tug
Tug may be small, but his heart and soul are mighty. Tug is an eight-year-old, neutered, male Chihuahua mix. He has a tan and black coat. Tug has brown eyes and weighs 21 pounds. He arrived at the shelter suffering from a condition called cherry eye. That means the third eyelid of the animal has prolapsed or begun to droop outside of its normal place. Thankfully after a quick trip to a local vet and a careful surgery, Tug’s eyes will fully recover. Tug is a sweet and friendly boy who can be a little shy when meeting new friends. He does well with other small dogs and children of all ages. If you have cats, he would like to meet them. Call today to make an appointment to meet Tug today. He will be very glad to see you in person.
Tug’s adoption fee is $105.
Quick Cat
You’ve heard of Quick Draw McGraw. Meet Quick Cat, a one-year-old, spayed, female Domestic Short Hair mix. She has a white and patched tabby coat. Quick Cat has green eyes and weighs six pounds. She got her name because of her skittish nature when she first came to the AWL. After receiving lots of TLC and learning that people are friends, Quick Cat has become a very affectionate kitty. She is still shy when meeting new people but quickly warms up when one rubs her chin and head. Quick Cat also enjoys playing with her feline friends in the AWL free-roaming room and taking naps in the sunshine. She would do best in a quiet home with children older than 10 years. Call to make an appointment to visit Quick Cat today.
Quick Cat’s adoption fee is $75.
