SYRACUSE – At approximately 8:10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 9, Wawasee Community School Corporation bus number 47 was involved in an incident on EMS D21 and D21B lanes resulting in a slide off during its morning route. The bus heading east on D21 Lane proceeded to back up and turn around on D21B Lane.

The back wheel slid into a culvert and was unable to get out without further assistance.

All students safely evacuated the bus and loaded on to a new bus that delivered students to Wawasee Middle School. There were no injuries to students or drivers. There was no damage to the school bus.
