Triton Girls 46, LaCrosse 20
Triton punched its ticket to the Oregon-Davis Sectional championship game with an easy win over LaCrosse Friday night.
After playing to a 10-6 score after a period, Triton poured on a 19-3 run in the second quarter to separate the two teams, then held LaCrosse to just a point in the third quarter in creating a 31-point advantage.
Taren Yates led the Trojans (10-11) with 15 points and five assists, Abbey Viers, Addyson Viers and Lexia Hostrawser powered in the interior with 19 combined points and 15 total rebounds, and Emma Hepler added six points and four steals.
Addie Gorski and Miranda Wozniak led the Tigers (4-18) with six points apiece.
Triton advances to the championship to face Argos, as the basketball gods made the matchup actually happen after Triton and Argos had its Bi-County championship game as well as its regular season contest a few days later wiped out by COVID restrictions. Argos (9-10) made the final by knocking out Culver 57-38.
Northfield Girls 82, LCA 29
The No. 13-ranked Norse didn’t mess around Friday in its own semi-finals, blowing out Lakeland Christian.
The Norse jumped out to a quick double-digit lead and never looked back, ending the season for the Cougars.
LCA checks out of the 2020-21 season 6-7 overall.

Northfield (18-5) will take on Three Rivers Conference rival North Miami (4-17), the Warriors a 59-47 winner over Southern Wells.
LCA Boys 86, Lakewood Park 80 (OT)
The two teams played Friday night to make up for a Thursday night weather cancellation in Auburn.
Landon Gause went off, registering 32 points for the Cougars (8-5), including eight in overtime. Hunter Rice scored 10 of his 14 in the third quarter, both Seth Martin and Silas Gagnon had 15 points, and Cameron Shepherd added 10 points.
