WARSAW — A Warsaw woman was recently arrested after allegedly head -butting a man.

Staci Marie Craft, 39, 3750 Lake City Highway 3, Warsaw, is charged with domestic battery with a child under 16 present and criminal recklessness while armed with a deadly weapon, both level 6 felonies.

On Nov. 17, 2020, a Warsaw Police officer went to a residential area regarding an argument. Upon arrival, the officer was met by a man outside of a business near the area.

According to court documents, the man said a woman, identified as Craft, had head-butted him and bit his lower lip. The officer noticed the man had a bloodied lip. Officers then spoke with Craft, who appeared intoxicated and agitated.

Two children at the residence said Craft grabbed a razor blade from a box cutter and had attempted to hurt herself. The children managed to get the weapon away from Craft and hid it. While searching the residence, officers found the box cutter blade the children hid from Craft.

Craft was booked in the Kosciusko County Jail on Feb. 1, with a $5,250 surety and cash bond.
