Runners Brave Cold In Cromwell Firefighters Frozen 5K

CROMWELL – As to expect in January in northern Indiana, it was a cold one this past weekend for runners who took part in the Cromwell Firefighters Frozen 5K road race.
The races, ran in one-mile and 5K formats, were put on by the Cromwell Fire Department with proceeds going to the Milford Food Bank.
Overall winner in the 5K race was Elias Rojas, completing the course at 16:25, and was joined by Yvette Rojas, who led the women with a time of 18:41. Grant Flora was the overall runner-up right behind Elias Rojas at 16:35.
Male Masters winner was Robert Martin, who placed third overall, with a time of 18:14, and Brian Shepherd was the Male Grand Masters winner at 19:07, taking fifth overall. Female Masters winner was Petrana Petkova at 20:36, which was seventh overall, and Female Grand Masters went to Connie Gordon, clocking 27:53.
Logan Schuller led the one-mile racers with a time of 6:08, and Christine Petkova was second with a time of 6:28, edging out Trinity Parson by a half second.
